Platanias villa is built at Platanias borough of Chania prefecture, between two picturesque, traditional villages named Vrises and Patelari, a 5minute drive from Platanias downtown and 15km from Chania city. The area is rural and rich in flora since during springtime all the melted snow comes running down in the area from the White Mountains, that is why Platanias is named after the plane trees that flourished all over the area.
